I love textures and the interrelationships of contrasting elements in nature. Trees, water reflections, broken glass cracks, branches, clouds, fossils, shells, birch bark and islands...they are all  intriguing. I appreciate the juxtapositions of these beautiful surroundings and capturing these surfaces in transparent paintings on paper and canvas.
