Michael Karcz

I have enjoyed art all of my life. My family is also active in different art forms. My mother painted beautiful watercolors well into her 90s. I have a brother and a sister who excel in photography. Another brother is a woodcarver of ducks and birds.  I have traveled and visited most of the world's important art museums, not all, as that is still my goal, but many.

I have a passion for books, and at one time owned two used bookstores with over 20,000 books in inventory. My library has over 1000 books.  I mainly collect first editions and signed copies. Among my favorites are history and art books.  I hope to continue creating bronzes, emphasizing my love for nature and its subjects, including birds, butterflies, plants, and more.

I have recently engaged in art displays at a number of Wisconsin locations,  The Hardy Gallery in Ephraim, The Art Garage in Green Bay,  Peninsula Art School in Fish Creek , The Plymouth Arts Center in Plymouth and the Cedarburg Cultural Center.  My pieces are on display for purchase at the Robert Ray Gallery in Algoma and the Margaret Lockwood Gallery in Sturgeon Bay.
