55th Annual Juried Exhibit

On Exhibit: June 16–July 16, 2017

Jurors: Tom Berenz, Angela Lensch, Joseph Mougel, Colleen Woolpert

The Hardy’s Juried Exhibit was among the first notable public art displays in the county and today continues among the Door’s most popular exhibits for visual artists. The exhibit, the most significant of the Hardy’s accomplishments in its history, is also the most recognized. From it’s very beginning as a gallery, the Hardy has served as an incubator for the promotion of Door County artists by providing space to visual artists who may not have gallery representation for the display of their work.

Collection Invitational & Community Mosaic Project

On Exhibit: July 21–August 27, 2017

This annual exhibit highlights works by more than forty established local and regional artists. Visitors and collectors alike will find this an excellent opportunity to see a vast collection of work by a selection of the area’s recognized artists and to add a distinctive piece to a personal collection. The exhibit highlights two works from each artist, one of which is donated by the artist for the Collector’s Choice Benefit, the organization’s largest special event fundraiser. The donated works are prominently displayed and featured in a silent auction. Funds raised in the Collector’s Choice Benefit provided needed operational support for the non-profit organization.
This exhibit also highlights the Community Mosaic Project, celebrating it’s 10th year. This dual purpose outreach project/fundraiser was conceived by the organization in 2007 as a means to promote the visual arts. The display, hung in tandem with the Collection Invitational, is constructed of 300 individual works of art, submitted by community members, youth, established and emerging artists of all skill levels and ages.
