Nicole Herbst

As a fiber artist rooted in the natural beauty of Door County, I specialize in felt painting and intuitive weaving, creating textured, expressive works that reflect the landscapes and spirit of the region. My practice also includes mixed media, watercolor, and acrylics, each medium allowing for a unique interpretation of inspiration drawn from my surroundings.

With over 30 years of experience as an art educator in Sturgeon Bay Schools, I bring a deep commitment to both creative expression and community engagement. I hold Master's degrees in Education and Pastoral Ministry, which inform my holistic and inclusive approach to teaching. Whether leading workshops in Sturgeon Bay or Egg Harbor, I strive to foster a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where participants of all skill levels experience success and joy in creating.

A proud member of the Minneapolis Textile Center, I continue to grow my practice while sharing the transformative power of art. It brings me great joy to create and teach in such an inspiring place—and to pass along that sense of wonder and connection through every class and piece of art I make.
