Phyllis Deicher-Ladwig
Phyllis Deicher-Ladwig is a freelance photographer based in east central Wisconsin. She discovered her love of photography while watching slide shows as a child in her family’s living room. She realized that capturing candid moments of family and friends brought laughter and stories to tell. She used those experiences to capture candid moments through her extensive travels and street photography and has expanded into architecture and nature photography. Phyllis served on the Board of Directors and Exhibitions Committee for Coalition of Photographic Arts (CoPA). She is a member of Wisconsin Visual Artists and has been juried into two Biennials, 2022 and 2024, with WVA at the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, WI. She is also a member of Photo Midwest and was juried into PhotoMidwest Biennial 2022 in Madison, WI. Phyllis has exhibited her work in galleries in Milwaukee and the surrounding area, including Var Gallery, Walkers Point, and No Studios in Milwaukee, the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art in Wausau, Nicolet College Art Gallery in Rhinelander, Hardy Gallery in Ephraim, Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay, Gallery 110 at the Plymouth Art Center in Plymouth, the Whitewater Arts Alliance Cultural Arts Center Gallery in Whitewater, WI. She has also exhibited at Alex Ferrone Gallery in Cutchogue, New York.
