Rick Brawner

Oil painting has been one of the more important parts of my life for over sixty five years. I wish I had a way of explaining reasons why drawing and painting has been so important ever since I was a boy.  I never get tired of painting and endlessly embrace all of it's forms landscape, seascape, architecture, anything that has wheels, portraits and  murals-they all break down to composition, light, color value, edges and perspective. In short, I have no preference to subject matter as long as a new painting is about to happen on my easel.  I am, and always will be, a representational painter and sincerely thank the many wonderful folks throughout the midwest that thought enough of my work to hang it in their homes and businesses.
